On 22 January 2026, Alliance for Biosolutions will host the Grand Launch of Biosolutions Forum+ in Copenhagen at the Danish Chamber of Commerce, bringing together policymakers, regulators, researchers, and companies to address one of the biggest challenges facing the biosolutions sector: outdated regulation or regulation not fit for purpose.

Biosolutions companies often face significant barriers long before their products reach the market. These barriers include outdated legislation, complex approval processes, and slow-moving bureaucracy.

Biosolutions Forum+ has been established to challenge this reality and help drive a regulatory paradigm shift with a strong focus on the development and use of regulatory sandboxes that can accelerate innovation while maintaining legal certainty.

The launch event will mark the beginning of this work and set the direction for Biosolutions Forum+. The ambition is clear: to mature future regulatory sandboxes including developing concrete, actionable regulatory recommendations that can be implemented in practice and support the growth of Biosolutions in Denmark and beyond.

A Call for Industry Voices

The success of Biosolutions Forum+ depends on active participation from the biosolutions ecosystem. The conference invites companies and stakeholders to share their real-world challenges, experiences, and ideas—and to help shape future regulatory solutions.

Participants can expect a day of inspiration, dialogue, and knowledge exchange, with contributions from leading political and regulatory figures, as well as experts in law, innovation, and biosolutions.

• Outlook following the Danish EU Presidency by Marie Bjerre, Minister for European Affairs

• Insights into how companies can engage with Biosolutions Forum+ by Anders Liin, Alliance for Biosolutions

The program concludes with networking, lunch, and a New Year’s reception hosted by the Alliance for Biosolutions. Here, Chairman Henrik Busch-Larsen will share the alliance's priorities for 2026.
